Brightmoor Farmway celebrates summer with a massive cleanup and family fun fest
Saturday, June 2 was an exciting day on the Farmway! With over a hundred hard-working volunteers from LifeChangers, other volunteers, and neighbors, Bramell Street from Fenkell to Eaton was remade. Many houses were completely boarded up and prepared for artwork; a huge amount of rubbish was removed from back yards, front yards, and alleys; and Bramell Street is now vastly improved. Thank you to everybody!
The cleanup effort was followed by an enthusiastic neighborhood family fun fest with refreshments, entertainment, and a great time with neighbors and friends!
Two other highlights were the long-anticipated release of Brightmoor’s official cookbook — a gift from the University of Michigan’s graphic arts department — and the completion of a Brightmoor Farmway map and community event chalk board on the house at Chalfonte and Lamphere.
